Enhanced shield lock system and improved rotational shock resistance.
To meet the safety performance requirements of the new, more stringent "FIM FRHPhe-02" standard, the shape and material of the shield lock and shield lock knob have been improved, significantly enhancing impact resistance during drops. Furthermore, to comply with the new standards for rotational impact resistance, the shape of the rear air spoiler has been changed, and new adapter parts have been added to the rear side. As a result, rotational impact resistance has been improved, and the requirements of the new standard have been met.

Experience the aerodynamic performance born from racing and further developed.
SHOEI's expertise and supporting pressure analysis led to the identification of a shape with minimal air resistance. This was then refined through repeated testing in their own large-scale wind tunnel facility. The completely new aero form, which exhibits stable aerodynamic performance even at ultra-high speeds exceeding 350 km/h, exudes an atmosphere of taut tension.

X-Fifteen and X-Fifteen 02 Aerodynamic Performance: Compared to previous models, the X-Fifteen and X-Fifteen 02 reduce lift (the upward tendency of the helmet to lift) by 1.6% and drag (the downward pressure from the front) by 6.1%. (These are reference figures from our large wind tunnel facility.)

In the design review of the X-Fifteen and X-Fifteen 02, clay models were measured using a 3D scanner. Simulations of the pressure distribution during racing in a racing position were performed, confirming that the air intakes were positioned in the areas with the highest pressure due to the airflow.

The X-Fifteen and X-Fifteen 02 have moved the eyeport position 5mm higher than the previous model. This ensures a wider upward field of view without changing the head position inside the helmet or compromising the balance of vertical visibility. Combined with the racing position of the cheek pads inherited from the previous model, this wider field of view has been highly praised by MotoGP riders and contributes to improved safety during races.
By changing the angle at which you wear your helmet, you can ensure proper forward visibility.

READY FOR HYDRATION SYSTEM
Hydration systems are used in endurance races and long rides in harsh summer conditions. The X-Fifteen features a hydration system attachment mechanism near the mouth, allowing for easy use of a hydration system by combining it with an optional hydration tube and commercially available hydration accessories.
*For hydration equipment, especially the mouthpiece, we recommend the CAMELBAK Big Bite Valve.

Quietness that enhances concentration while riding and reduces strain.
Reducing noise and improving the quietness inside the helmet enhances concentration while riding and reduces rider fatigue. The center-lock CWR-F2R shield, which offers enhanced sealing, is equipped with vortex generators on both the left and right ends. The airflow rectifying effect, which directs air from the sides of the shield towards the rear, reduces noise generation on the sides of the shield.

X-Fifteen Noise Level Performance (Comparison with the previous X-Fourteen model):
A comparison of wind noise in an environment equivalent to 100 km/h. The X-Fifteen shows significantly lower noise levels, particularly in the lower frequency range, compared to the previous model.

Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S)
In the event of an accident, removing a helmet from a rider can be far more difficult than one might imagine for a third party providing first aid. While impact absorption and comfort are essential, supporting emergency rescue operations in such situations is also a crucial function of a helmet. SHOEI's EQRS (Emergency Quick Release System) allows for easy helmet removal with a simple pull of a special ribbon, minimizing strain on the neck, which is prone to injury.
* Do not use EQRS when removing the cheek pads for maintenance or other purposes
