In the early 1990s, one motorcycle rider and club racer—Rick Marlin—became determined to solve this problem. Tired of having to ride with his faceshield open to prevent it from fogging up, and fed up with spending money on temporary solutions, Rick began experimenting with a new anti-fog technology.

The result was the original FogCity FogShield.

The FogShield was an immediate success in the racing fraternity, with one of the earliest converts being American and World Superbike Champion Troy Corser.

In 1992, Rick formed Modern World Ventures to produce and promote the FogShield—and within a few years, the product had achieved amazing worldwide success, being exported to dozens of countries and worn by many of the world’s most successful motorcycle racers.
